Weekly Letter

Dear Family and Friends,

Well, we are kind of in a rut right now.  We are doing about the same things on the same days. We went to Family Home Evening on Monday where I (Dad) taught the lesson.  We study out of the Old Testament Come Follow Me manual. I don't  mind teaching, but teaching the Old Testament can be a little challenging at times. But everyone said it was a good lesson so I guess I did OK.  The biggest challenge is keeping everyone on track.  Tuesday was dinner at the Institute.  We did pulled chicken barbeque sandwiches and everybody really liked them.  We had a good day of family history work on Wednesday.  We will go to the Washington D.C. temple at least one more time before we come home so we are trying to get some family names we can do the work for.  We found  a couple of names for Mom to do and I found one ancestor that needs all of his work done but has some problems I have to fix.  We are having a Family History workshop coming up in about a week so hopefully we can get it ready then. Thursday was our normal volunteer work at the hospital.  I know we say this about every week, but we really enjoy meeting the people and visiting with them as they come in. We delivered a couple of birthday cards and candy bars this week. It seems like no matter how long people have been away from the church they still like to know they haven't been completely forgotten.

We are really looking forward to our trip to Bismark, North Dakota in a few days to be with Lora for her graduation.  We are excited to have Kristy and Karlee join us as well.  We'll let you know more about that next week.

Mom's scripture this week is from Luke 10:27. "And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself."  If we love God and love our neighbor, we can all make the world a better place.

I know this is pretty short, but that's all we have for this week. Our letter next week will probably be on Monday because we won't get home from North Dakota until Monday.  We love you and pray for you daily.

Love,
Mom and Dad
